2024 BECE Sample Questions From NaCCA New Update

Following the release of NaCCA’s 2024 BECE Sample Questions, the Ghana Education News team has published all available sample questions and more to assist candidates, teachers, and schools in understanding the types of questions WAEC is likely to administer.

Officially, the NaCCA sample questions released cover only three subjects. NaCCA has recently announced that it will release the remaining subjects for the BECE sample questions in the upcoming week.

In a statement attached to the released sample question by NaCCA, sighted by Ghana Education News, NaCCA stated that “there will be uploading of assessment items… for other subjects, and that it expects teachers and learners to make use of these items in preparation for the junior high school exit examination.” Mathematics, English, and science are the initial assessment items. We plan to upload other subjects in the coming days. The statement said:.

This year, the advertisement for the BECE for School and Private Candidates will run from Monday, July 8th, to Friday, July 12th, 2024. However, the first phase of the 2024 BECE registration ended on Friday, April 19, 2024.

“With the introduction of the common core curriculum, we will examine school candidates for BECE differently than private candidates. The examination of school candidates will follow the common core curriculum, whereas the examination of private candidates will adhere to the previous syllabus. Therefore, we advise all private candidates to exercise caution when selecting their subjects. In its last briefing for BECE stakeholders, WAEC stated this.

Historic facts about the 2024 BECE

1. Schools can register candidates for a maximum of ten subjects.
2. In 2024, school candidates will write about two new subjects (career technology and creative arts and design).
3. There will be a maximum of 50 objective questions for school candidates.
4. For the first time, the 2024 BECE will assess BECE candidates using the Common Core Curriculum.
5. The assessment questions that candidates will receive will include critical thinking and application questions.

To ensure WAEC protects the integrity of the examination, it has introduced new rules and revised old ones to meet the changing demands of our times.

The cover covers the following aspects: 

• Students who have inscriptions on any part of their bodies or clothing will be considered to have committed an illegal act.
• Posting Live Questions on the Internet: Any students caught doing so will be considered to have committed an illegal act.
• If schools refuse to grant timely access into the school premises, they will be considered to have engaged in an illegal act.
• Exam officials who engage in misconduct will be considered to have committed an illegal act.
• Schools caught registering multiple candidates will be considered to have committed an illegal act.
