2024 BECE Social Studies Topics to Watch

WAEC is expected to administer the 2024 BECE from July 8th to July 15th. In this post, we share with readers the 2024 BECE Social Studies topics to watch as the examination draws closer. The topics shared must only serve as a guide to preparation. For clarity, these topics are not part of the WAEC curriculum. Our 2024 BECE mock examinations, which started in November 2023 and will end in June 2024, have been based on the projected topics for social studies. In the coming weeks, we will also release our projected topics for other subjects.

2024 BECE Social Studies Topics to Watch

This publication merges some of the topics under the “Move Together” heading. Learn the two topics together due to their common features. These topics are also new because of the new Common Core Curriculum.

1. Conflict Prevention and Management and Promoting Democracy and Political Stability (Move Together)
2. The Family and socialization (move together)
3. The Individual, the Community, and Self-Identity (move together)
4. Understanding Our Natural World (Natural Disasters)
5. Peace and security in our nation.

More likely topics to watch out for as you prepare for the 2024 BECE examination

These are old topics in Social Studies that have been somewhat modified, so OLD AND NEW INTEGRATED TOPICS TO WATCH

1. Environmental Issues (difficult to have BECE social studies without a question on the environment)
2. Science and technology
3. Our Natural and Human Resources
4. Culture and national identity
5. Human Resource Development

LIKELY TOPICS FOR THE BECE

These are topics that are rated as likely. To avoid surprises, carefully study them.

While we expect these topics to be less likely, do not leave them unattended.
