2024 GES Recruitment List To Be Released Tomorrow

The Director General Of The Ghana Education Service (GES), Dr. Eric Nkansah, has announced that the 2024 GES recruitment list of the 2022 Colleges of Education graduates will be released on Friday, 5th June, 2024.

According to the Director General, all successful applicants will be made to to do self placement. This means, all applicants who qualified for posting will be made to select their preferred regions and schools for posting.

The Director General added that out of the over 20,000 applicants that applied, only 12,000 qualified for recruitment.

SELF PLACEMENT METHOD FOR 2024 GES RECRUITMENT

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has created a self-placement system for 12,720 new teachers who have finished their degrees and passed their licensure exams.

After the GES asked for job applications on May 11, 2024, they received over 20,000 applications. Out of these, 12,720 were accepted in the first group.

These teachers need to visit the Ghana Education Service website between July 5 and July 31, 2024, to complete the self-placement process.

At a press conference at the GES headquarters in Accra on July 4, the Director-General of GES, Eric Nkansah, explained that this system helps with issues like language barriers and financial problems.

He said, “The self-posting recruitment model allows new teachers to choose regions where they can speak the local language, making teaching more effective.”

He added, “These teachers can also choose schools near their families, providing economic support.”

The steps to use the platform and select a school are on the GES promotion platform, which is the same one used for their applications.

• Fill in the appropriate details and confirm the payment on your mobile device
• Proceed to the Posting Login Page and enter your Index Number and the voucher code you received on your mobile device
• Finally, click on Submit to download your appointment letter.
