A. Management/Teaching Staff
1. Vice Principal
Job Description:
- Assist the Principal in the overall management and administration of the College, in accordance with the Colleges of Education Act 2012 (Act 847), the Harmonised Scheme of Service, and the internal policies of Bia Lamplighter College of Education.
- Act as Principal in the absence of the Principal.
- Perform other roles and responsibilities as assigned by the College Principal.
Qualification and Experience:
- Possess good character and a high degree of personal integrity.
- Be a distinguished master teacher and scholar in teaching and learning.
- Hold a rank of Principal Tutor in the public Colleges of Education system or a rank of Senior Lecturer in a recognized tertiary institution.
- Hold a researched Master’s degree; a doctoral degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., etc.) is advantageous.
- Have at least five (5) years of relevant experience in a senior management position with knowledge and experience in the tertiary education system in Ghana.
Terms of Appointment:
- Must be able to complete at least three (3) years before attaining the compulsory retirement age of sixty (60) years.
- Terms and conditions of appointment are determined by the College Governing Council in line with the harmonised conditions of service for the Colleges of Education.
- Salaries are attractive and competitive.
- Appointment may be renewed for a maximum of another term of three (3) years, depending on satisfactory performance.

2. Librarian
Job Description:
- Oversee the library, research, and information needs of the College community.
- Provide leadership in advancing the College’s teaching mission through strategic planning and the incorporation of emerging technology.
- Serve as the professional and administrative head of the College library.
- Monitor and implement the library’s strategic plan.
- Establish and implement procedures, policies, and systems for efficient library operation.
- Plan, organise, coordinate, and measure the work activities of all library staff.
- Collaborate with relevant libraries and organisations to attract grants and employ best practices.
- Serve as a member of the Library Board.
Qualification and Experience:
- Possess good character and a high degree of personal integrity.
- Hold a postgraduate research degree in Library and Information-related field.
- Have served as a Deputy Librarian in a College of Education or in a similar institution/organisation for at least four (4) years.
- Be conversant with library records management software.
- Be analytical, critical, innovative, and research-oriented.
- Be able to complete at least one term of four (4) years before reaching the retirement age of sixty (60) years.
- A doctoral degree is an advantage.

Job Description:
- Oversee the overall management of the College’s dining facilities and services.
- Ensure the provision of nutritious and balanced meals for students and staff.
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Plan menus and manage food supplies, inventory, and budget.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff to improve their skills and efficiency.
- Handle any dietary requirements and special meal requests.
- Perform other duties related to catering and hospitality as assigned by the College management.
Qualification and Experience:
- Possess good character and a high degree of personal integrity.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics, Hospitality Management, Catering and Institutional Management, or a related area of study from a recognized institution.
- Have at least two (2) years of experience in the catering industry.
