NUGS Quiz for 28 remote basic schools starts

Junior high schools are the target of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) newest initiative, the NUGS Quiz.
At the end of the first contest in Zone 1 of the competition, Agona Presby JHS emerged victorious.
The following schools are participating in the Zone 1 Quiz:

📌Agona African Faith JHS
📌Agona SDA JHS
📌Agona Presby JHS
📌Agona Interbeton JHS
📌Agona Islamic JHS
The competition for the ultimate trophy has divided all 28 schools into 5 zones.
According to a blog post by NUGS that Ghana Education News saw, the quiz targets and provides remote schools with a unique opportunity to compete and gain attention.
“The first edition of the NUGS Quiz recognizes our grassroots by hosting a contest between 28 basic schools, some of which are located in remote towns.” The blog post stated.
The best school that wins will receive a special golden trophy as an honour.
“Which of the schools among the 28 institutions participating in the first edition of the NUGs quiz will win the coveted golden trophy?”Stay tuned!” It stated on its X page.

- Ultimate Academy Technology Basic
- Wiamoase Presbyterian JHS
- Aamang D/A JHS
- Konya D/A JHS
- Asamang SDA JHS
- Agona African Faith JHS
- Agona Presby JHS
- Agona Interberton JHS
- Amoakohene D/A JHS
- Agona Methodist JHS
- Kona D/A 1 JHS

This initiative is a rare opportunity for schools in remote areas of Ghana to shine and show their academic capabilities at a time when nearly all national quizzes are dominated by schools in the city.
It will also serve an an invaluable learning experience for the students.
