The 2025 BECE Sample Questions will be super useful to all candidates preparing for the BECE from 2024 onward.

The GES and MoE released the crucial sample questions for candidates, teachers, and schools ahead of the WAEC examination for basic schools in 2024

On this portal, stakeholders can download BECE sample questions.

According to the sample BECE questions preamble, students will be required to answer 50 objective test questions. This new information applies to all public and private school-registered candidates for the exam.

For candidates who will be assessed with the old curriculum, the information released regarding the 50 objective test questions did not explicitly mention those preparing for the private BECE.

At the time of publishing this story, Ghana Education News can confirm that the sample questions released by the GES and MoE through NaCCA were for only English Language, Integrated Science, and Mathematics.

For each of the subjects, the objective tests were 50 in number.

Again, the sample English questions included Section A (objective test questions) and Section B (subjective test questions).

Mathematics also came with 50 objective test questions and section B sample questions.

However, only objective test questions were available for integrated science.

How teachers and schools can make good use of the sample questions provided

Practice Question Solving: Teachers should help their students comprehend the significance of various questions and how to answer them, empowering them to tackle similar problems.

Set Similar Questions: Teachers should set similar questions for their BECE candidates and guide them to solve them correctly.

Students should engage in independent practice. Question Solving: Students should practice with the equations and similar questions.

Candidates should attempt all the sample BECE questions to help prepare for the 2024 BECE.

Identify weak areas: By attempting a variety of sample questions, students can identify their weak areas and focus their revision efforts on those topics. Teachers can also use sample questions to identify common areas where students struggle and provide additional support.

Understand Exam Format: Sample questions can help students become familiar with the exam format, including the types of questions, marking scheme, and time allocation for each section. This reduces anxiety on exam day.
