The latest Ghana Education News relating to the upcoming 2025 BECE shared with readers the released sample BECE questions for candidates preparing for the Junior High School leaving examination. The 2025 BECE Sample Questions will be super useful to all candidates preparing for the BECE from 2024 onward.

The GES and MoE released the crucial sample questions for candidates, teachers, and schools ahead of the WAEC examination for basic schools in 2024

On this portal, stakeholders can download BECE sample questions.

According to the sample BECE questions preamble, students will be required to answer 50 objective test questions. This new information applies to all public and private school-registered candidates for the exam.

For candidates who will be assessed with the old curriculum, the information released regarding the 50 objective test questions did not explicitly mention those preparing for the private BECE.

At the time of publishing this story, Ghana Education News can confirm that the sample questions released by the GES and MoE through NaCCA were for only English Language, Integrated Science, and Mathematics.

For each of the subjects, the objective tests were 50 in number.

Again, the sample English questions included Section A (objective test questions) and Section B (subjective test questions).

Mathematics also came with 50 objective test questions and section B sample questions.

However, only objective test questions were available for integrated science.

How teachers and schools can make good use of the sample questions provided

Set Similar Questions: Teachers should set similar questions for their BECE candidates and guide them to solve them correctly.

Candidates should attempt all the sample BECE questions to help prepare for the 2024 BECE.

Identify weak areas: By attempting a variety of sample questions, students can identify their weak areas and focus their revision efforts on those topics. Teachers can also use sample questions to identify common areas where students struggle and provide additional support.

  3. Does it mean that the science paper has only one part? I only saw 50 objectives. Won’t there be practical test and theory-type questions?

    I think the answer should be have. This is because the auxiliary verb is qualifying “the woman” and “her uncles”.
