This annual NST is part of the GES’s efforts to improve educational standards nationwide at the basic school level. Through this annual national assessment at key stages of their education, the Ghana Education Service aims to identify areas in English Language and Mathematics that require attention and take steps to provide needed interventions for identified shortfalls.
We have directed schools registered for the 2024 NST to closely monitor English Language and Mathematics, the two subjects scheduled for examination on the 23rd and 24th of July, 2024. Teachers should thoroughly revise with their learners to prepare them for the examination, ensuring they are well-prepared to perform at their best.
To avoid challenges that have confronted the examination in the past, the GES has assured that it has put in place the necessary measures for a challenge-free testing process. The systems put in place to ensure there are no hitches include the provision of test materials, invigilators, and other resources needed to help in the effective and efficient conduct of the 2024 National Standardised Test.
