Former Education Minister, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang Performs Last Academic Rituals As Vice Chancellor Of Women’s University In Africa.
Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang performs last academic ritual as the vice chancellor of the Women’s University in Africa (WUA) at their 20th anniversary. She has been the vice chancellor of the institution for six years.
Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang is the running mate for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC). She will be hoping to become the country’s first ever female vice president. Her last rituals were performed at the University’s campus in Harare, Zimbabwe.
In her words, she expressed her immense gratitude for the love which was shown upon her during her tenure. “I have engaged with the WUA family in my official capacities for the last six years. This year’s trip comes with mixed feelings, as it counts as the university’s 20th anniversary and my farewell graduation ceremony,” she disclosed in a statement.
She again disclosed that her six years stay at the University has made them a family, “My six-year stay with WUA, however, confirms my belief that we are family – and family does not truly leave family behind.” she said.
