Important Update on GES Promotion Exam 2024 (2023B)

Teachers preparing for the GES Promotion Exam 2024 (2023B) are to note that the exam is projected to be administered in August 2024.

Per the information we have sighted from a reliable source, Google Forms were used to collect data from officers and teachers who have not been placed on the scale for prompt action. This will, however, be solved at the end of July 2024.

Then, index numbers will follow at the end of the month. Should this timelines be met, candidates will have up to two (2) weeks to prepare for the writing of the promotion exams in the middle of August this year.

Teachers who intend to sit the GES Promotion Exam 2024 (2023B) are advised to start preparing for the examination using past questions and other available online tuition services offered by renowned consults.

An applicant who suitably qualifies for consideration for promotion to the following grades is advised to start preparations towards the examination:

A) Deputy Director

B) Assistant Director I

C) Assistant Director II

D) Principal Superintendent

QUALIFICATION

1. e) Deputy Director: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Assistant Director I on or before 2020 and should have been continuously at post since date (except for periods of approved leave of absence).
2. f) Assistant Director I: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Assistant Director ll on or before 2020 and should have been continuously at post since date (except for periods of approved leave of absence)
3. g) Assistant Director Il: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Principal superintendent on or before 2020 and should have been continuously at post since date except for periods of approved leave of absence).
4. h) Principal Superintendent: An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Senior Superintendent I on or before 220 and should have been continuously at post since date (except for periods of approved leave of absence).

Officers/Teachers with Master’s Degree and PHD

For the avoidance of doubt, applicants who wish to rely on Masters/ Doctorate degrees to join the interviews out of turn should note the following:

g) Masters /PHD programme should be on the approved GES course of study

h) The Masters/PHD certificate should not have been obtained before the previous promotion.
