2024 Enlistment Into Ghana Military Academy – Apply Here

The Ghana Military Service has officially announced the 2024 Enlistment into the Ghana Military Academy. Let’s take a look at how you can apply.

Entry Requirements

Eligible applicants should:

• Be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
• Be of good character.
• Not be married (applicable to Regular Cadets only).
• Not be bonded.
• Be at least 18 years old and not more than 26 years old by 31st March 2025 (applicable to Regular Cadets only).
• Be medically fit according to Ghana Armed Forces standards.
• Pass the Pre-Joining Fitness Test.
• Be at least 1.68m (5’5″) tall for males and 1.50m (5’2″) for females. For Military Police applicants, the minimum height is 1.75m (5’9″) for males and 1.70m (5’7″) for females.

Educational Requirements

Applicants must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower in any of the following fields from a recognized university or institution:

• Computer Engineering
• Agricultural Science (Mechanisation)
• Aerospace Engineering
• Computer Science
• Oceanography
• Geomatic Engineering
• Geodetic Engineering
• Hydrography

Other Qualifications

• BECE: Six (6) Credits including English, Mathematics, and Science.
• WASSCE: Six (6) Credits (not less than C6) including Core English, Core Mathematics, and Core Science.
• SSSCE: Six (6) Credits (not less than D) including Core English, Core Mathematics, and Core Science.
• GCE ‘A’ Levels: Five (5) Credits (not less than 6) including English Language and Mathematics at GCE ‘O’ Level and not less than D in three subjects at GCE ‘A’ Level.
• First Degree: Must have a minimum of a First Degree not below Second Class Lower.

1. ENGINEER CORPS In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must not be more than 30 years by 10 February 2023 and must have First Degree not below Second Class Lower in the following:
   1. Civil Engineering.
   2. Mechanical Engineering.
   3. Structural Engineering.
   4. Project Management in any Building Environment Discipline.
   5. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years working experience in the relevant field of application and must be a registered member of GHIE or requisite Professional Body, in good standing and with a practicing License and Certificate from the regulating Professional Body. Preference will be given to candidates with Masters.

1. CATERING SCHOOL. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must not be more than 30 years by 10 February 2023. Must have any of the following:
   1. M.Phil in Hospitality Management.
   2. Masters in Hospitality Management/Catering Management.
   3. With 3 years Post qualification working experience in teaching and practice.

1. ORDNANCE CORPS. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must not be more than 30 years by 10 February 2023. Must have any of the following:
   1. Advanced Qualification in Ammunition Technology/Explosive Ordnance Disposal.
   2. MSc/M.Phil in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Chemical Engineering/Physics.

MEDICAL. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must:

1. Not more than 40 years of age for Medical and Dental Specialists.
2. Not more than 35 years of age for Medical Officers, Dental Surgeons and Clinical Psychologists.
3. Not more than 33 years of age for Specialized Nurses, Midwifery Officers, Pharmacists (PharmD), Audiologists, Certified Registered Anaesthetists and Health Services Administrators (Master’s degree).
4. Not more than 30 years of age for Biomedical Scientists. Occupational Therapists, Sonographers, Respiratory Therapists, Radiographers, Pharmacists (BPharm) and Health Services Administrators (First degree).

Step 2: Access the Enlistment Portal

Visit the official enlistment portal. Click here.

Step 3: Complete the Application

1. Read through the entry requirements thoroughly before starting the application.
2. Click on the “Apply Now” tab to open the applicant authentication page.
3. Enter your card serial number, PIN code, select your preferred Arm of Service and type of commission, then click “Submit”.
4. Fill in your personal details on the pages.

Step 4: Review and Submit

1. Click the Preview button to see a summary of your provided data. Make necessary modifications if needed by using the back button.

2. Submit your application and expect an instant email and text message containing your unique system-generated identification number.

3. Print and keep a copy of the generated report. You will need it if shortlisted. If lost, return to the portal, click the “Check Details” tab, and reprint using your unique ID number.

Step 5: Keep Your Electronic Voucher

Ensure you retain the used electronic voucher, as it will be inspected at every stage of the selection process.
