Basic Schools in Ghana will soon bring the 2023/2024 academic year to an end. In today’s article, we will look at the term 3 vacation date for basic schools.
Basic Schools Term 3 Vacation Date
As stated on the 2023/2024 academic calendar, basic schools in Ghana began the academic year on 3rd October, 2024.
The first term of the academic year ended on 22nd December, 2023.
The second term started on 8th January, 2024 and ended on 11th April.
Term 3 also started 30th April, 2024. Term 3 will officially end on 25th July, 2024. This excludes Final Year students, who will soon write the 2024 BECE.
Holidays in Term 3.
- 1st May, 2024 – Workers Day
- Monday, 17th June, 2024 is likely to be a public holiday to mark the Eid Al-Adha occasion.
Revision Week
Revision week holds great importance for both teachers and pupils. For teachers, it provides an opportunity to reinforce key concepts, address lingering doubts, and ensure students are well-prepared for assessments. Pupils benefit by having dedicated time to consolidate knowledge, clarify doubts, and enhance their understanding, ultimately improving their academic performance.
In the case, revision week for basic schools is slated from 8th to 12th July, 2024. This is the same period of the 2024 BECE..
