Teacher arrested for beating 8-year-old learner to coma
Teacher arrested for beating 8-year-old learner to coma. The learner has a 20% chance of surviving or a doctor’s report
An 8-year-old pupil fell into a coma after a teacher beat her, leading to the arrest of Madam Faith, the teacher. The authorities placed Madam Faith, the suspect, under house arrest after they suspected her of repeatedly hitting the learner. They are doing all they can to save the life of the innocent child. However, they have disclosed that the chances of the 8-year-old learner surviving a coma are just 20%.
The tragic incident occurred in Anambra State, Nigeria, where canning regulations have changed to prevent the cane from serving as a correctional tool and instead as a pointing device.
The 30-year-old teacher was employed at the Landmark School Mgbakwu in Anambra State’s Awka North Local Government Area. Her behavior has forced the federal government to temporarily close the school.
During a media briefing, Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, the Commissioner of Education, revealed that they summoned the suspect and the school’s owner to clarify the events that led to the current student’s condition.
According to the Commissioner of Education, the school was illegal because it lacked the necessary registration to operate.
“We received this unfortunate incident from an illegal school in Mgbakwu: a child was beaten to a coma over the weekend. On behalf of the state government, we invited the proprietress of the illegal school as well as the teacher who purportedly beat the child,” she said.
“We’ve handed the matter to the police for further investigation as we await Mr. Governor’s directives. In the meantime, we have closed the school indefinitely, as it shouldn’t have existed in the first place. Any parent who enrolls his or her child in an illegal school is doing so at his or her peril. Anyone running an unapproved school in Anambra is a criminal, according to private school proprietors. It’s a criminal offense to run an illegal school in the state, whether the school is legal or not, and it’s criminal to beat a child. “According to the doctor, the child’s chances of survival are 20%.”
To serve as a deterrent to like-minded individuals in schools and classrooms, the Commissioner of Education has made it clear that the teacher at the centre of the careless act and inhuman treatment will face consequences. She has said emphatically that the Anambra state distastes all forms of violence against children.
Once the police leave, the teacher will confront other organizations that violate children’s rights. She’s going to face the full wrath of the law for her actions,” she said.

“Anambra State abhors violence against children, women, and any other person. This administration does not condone such behavior, and the Governor strongly opposes it.
